Bed
The main body is consisted of one piece meehanite cast iron bed, wide column, anti-heat displacement spindle and headstock, and integral Box way construction with anti-friction mating way surfaces that ensure unsurpassed long term rigidity and superior accuracy.
Slide Way
Wide integral way is machined from the casting, induction hardened and precision ground to ensure long-term rigidity, machining accuracy and heavy-duty machining.
Spindle
High torque main spindle motor is supported by strong Double Cylindrial Roller bearings and Angular Thrust bearings which allow heavy duty cutting and minimize accelleration/decelleration times.
Turret
A short indexing time is made possible by employing the Nonstop Random Index method using the SMEC developed high-power Servo Index Motor. The large diameter Curvic Coupling significantly improves the clamping power and indexing precision.
Transmission
Equipped as standard feature, high Output Converting Transmission provides heavy-duty machining.
Controller
Fanuc CNC is used in SMEC machines. For some models it is possible to use Siemens CNC.
